In an ambitious move to enhance patient care during the Covid pandemic, the leading Orange County hospital launched a Virtual Clinic app, aiming to provide 24/7 on-demand care to its extensive patient base of 400,000. The app's minimum viable product (MVP) aimed to deliver an exceptional user experience for patients while enabling medical assistants and doctors to manage patient appointments efficiently. This was achieved by seamlessly integrating a patient-facing application and a provider app with the hospital's existing EHR system, Epic.

GaleAI wanted to apply AI to make medical coding more efficient
and sought help to turn their proof of concept into a polished, market-ready product. We transformed GaleAI into an AI powerhouse for medical coding, analyzing thousands of notes in seconds, integrated with EHR and medical APIs, and adjusting to doctor and coder habits.
Our partnership extended beyond mere development to ensure seamless integration with such EHRs as Epic and Athena. This enabled providers to access AI-powered medical coding directly from their EHRs, offering complete FHIR and SMART on FHIR support. We facilitated data interoperability via Mirth Connect and deployed GaleAI into EHR app stores.
